Job Title: Packager (Box Stacker)
Job Description

The Packager (Box Stacker) plays a key role in a high-volume food manufacturing environment by safely lifting, stacking, and organizing packaged products while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. This position works on a rotating 12-hour day shift schedule and involves consistent physical activity, collaboration with team members, and support of production changeovers and plant cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Lift and move packaged products weighing up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the day.
• Stack properly packaged products onto pallets, skids, or carts in a safe, stable, and organized manner.
• Set up the packaging area for the next product run during changeovers, ensuring all materials and equipment are ready for production.
• Assist in general cleaning of machinery and the plant facility as assigned when production is stopped, maintaining high sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Follow directions from team members and supervisors to support smooth and efficient production operations.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to quality and safety.
• Adhere to all food safety, quality, and sanitation procedures required in a food manufacturing facility.
• Support continuous production in a 24/7 operation by maintaining productivity and reliability during assigned shifts.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of production experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the day.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
• Ability to work in a warm environment around ovens and high temperatures.
• Comfort working in an environment with exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and noise.
• Experience with general labor, production, and packaging tasks.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining high food safety and sanitation standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in bakery manufacturing is an asset.
• Comfort working in coolers and freezers as needed.
• Willingness to learn and participate in comprehensive internal training.
• Reliability and strong work ethic to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large, 24/7 food manufacturing facility that operates three full shifts daily and maintains high sanitation standards to meet food safety and customer requirements. The environment includes a mix of coolers, freezers, and high-temperature areas around ovens, along with exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, humidity, darkness, and consistent noise from various pieces of equipment. Quality is a top priority throughout the facility, and employees work with a dedicated maintenance team that has access to a large workshop area. The position follows a rotational 12-hour day shift schedule from 7:30 . to 7:30 ., working Wednesday to Saturday one week and Thursday to Saturday the following week. Uniforms, safety gear, and appropriate work attire are provided by the employer to support comfort and safety on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.61 - $22.61/hr.
