Food Production Worker / Packager

Location: Richmond, BC

Pay: $19.00-$20.00/hour

Shift Options: Monday-Friday +Weekend Overtime as needed

• Morning Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • (Transit is NOT available for the morning shift)
• Afternoon Shift: 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM

Job Description

We are hiring reliable Food Production Workers and Packagers to join a busy food manufacturing facility in Richmond. This role involves packaging products, labeling, boxing, palletizing, quality checks, and supporting production operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Package and label food products according to company standards
• Box finished products and stack cartons onto pallets
• Perform visual quality inspections and report defects
• Complete basic production and quality control paperwork
• Rotate between different production and packaging stations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow food safety, GMP, and workplace safety procedures
• Work efficiently to meet production targets
• Support team members and production needs as required

Requirements

• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 40 lbs
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work in a cool food production environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Basic English communication skills
• Steel-toe boots required
• Comfortable working with non-veg products (Pork, Chicken, Beef, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production, packaging, warehouse, or manufacturing environments
• Experience working on a production line is an asset
• Familiarity with food safety procedures and quality standards is an asset
• Reliable Transportation is preferred

Work Environment

This position is based in a food manufacturing facility with a fast-paced production environment. Employees work around production equipment and conveyors while following strict food safety standards, including wearing required PPE such as hairnets, gloves, lab coats, and steel-toe boots. The facility maintains a cool working temperature and values teamwork, reliability, and safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.40 - $19.90/hr.
