Job Description

To Prepare and operate numerical-control cutting machines of Milling & 3 Axis Router , reads setup instructions and specifications, loads control media containing programmed commands into control console of machine, or enters commands to retrieve programmed control data.

Job Description :

Adheres to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders.

Documents the materials and processes used in the process to maintain traceability of product.

Operates CNC machines of Milling and 3 Axis Router.

Loads programs into CNC machine and execute program cutting of the material.

Cuts raw stock to approximate size necessary for part being machined.

Secures and fixture raw stock of material into machine.

Squares material prior to running program if necessary.

Monitors the operating of the machine to ensure proper program performance.

Deburs completed machine parts as time allows.

Provides feedback to supervisor and programmer as to the performance of the program and tooling used for cutting the material.

Verifies the accuracy of the parts using calipers, micrometers and other metrology equipment as a periphery inspection and report any suspect parts immediately to supervisor.

Ensures machine is in proper working order and immediately report any issues or suspect of issues to supervisor.

Ensures machine and area around machine is kept clean and neat as practical and mandatory prior to ending of shift.

Properly maintains coolant as necessary, including removal of containments, proper dilution ratio and cleaning and recharging machine of coolant when necessary or when requested by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Degree or diploma from technical / vocational school in CNC machining is strongly desired and most preferred.

Experience : 1-3 years.

Computer Skills : Familiarity of the basic operation of CNC machines of Milling and 3 Axis Router and the understanding of G and M code is preferred or the ability to learn is mandatory.

Other Skills : The ability to read and write in English at a level necessary for successful job performance is mandatory and the ability to read engineering blue prints is desirable.
