Position Profile
H umber River Health (HRH) is a prominent 1.8 million square foot fully-digital acute care facility in Canada equipped with state-of-the-art technology and catering to a wide range of medical needs. It serves a population of over 850000 individuals residing in the northwest Greater Toronto Area. HRH operates 722 acute inpatient beds at the Wilson site 34 beds at Church Campus and 32 beds at Finch Campus with over 4000 staff approximately 800 physicians and over 1000 volunteers. HRH also includes the Reactivation Care Centres (RCCs) at the Finch and Church Campuses which represent a unique partnership among multiple hospitals in the GTA with a focus on delivery of specialised care with the focus on reactivation to patients who have been designated as Alternative Level of Care.

Position Summary
The Department of Surgery Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Humber River Health is seeking a full-time orthopaedic surgeon with a specialty focus in hip and knee arthroplasty to join our team. Fellowship training in hip and knee arthroplasty is required. Candidates with a specific interest in robotic and computer assisted primary hip and knee arthroplasty partial knee replacement hip resurfacing and revision hip and knee arthroplasty will be preferred. Additional fellowship training in orthopaedic trauma is not mandatory but will be considered an asset. Candidates with an interest in research education innovation and clinical program development are desired.
The successful candidate will join a supportive team of 14 orthopaedic surgeons. Resources include trauma and elective OR time fracture clinic elective clinic and on call responsibilities. The candidate will be expected to assist the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery with teaching commitment and apply for academic appointment in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine University of Toronto. They will be expected to participate in the Humber Hip and Knee Fellowship program.
Qualifications Skills and Attributes
In addition to demonstrated clinical excellence and outstanding interpersonal skills candidates must have an MD or equivalent have completed an accredited orthopaedic surgery training program and additional fellowship training concentrated in the field of hip and knee arthroplasty. The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure in the Province of Ontario
