Summary of functions : The associate reports to the Optical Center Manager and provides expertise on order placement and distribution of quality eyewear while optimizing sales and profits, and delivering exemplary customer service in accordance with Walmart’s core values and beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Optical Center Manager to maximize center sales and profits.
• Assist in training associates on lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
• Participate in marketing and promotional programs as per company expectations.
• Order and maintain inventory, ensuring sufficient stock levels.
• Represent company values of respect for the person, service to customers, and pursuit of excellence.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming appearance and environment for associates, customers, and physicians.
• Accept and evaluate prescription orders from customers or doctors.
• Maintain a safe work environment, including proper equipment maintenance and compliance with emergency procedures.
• Follow provincial and federal guidelines for dispensing prescribed and non‑prescribed eyewear.
