Working with the Town of Newmarket’s Recreation and Culture Team means the opportunity to make a difference and connect with your community! Working in Recreation means being part of something special, gaining valuable work experience and learning new skills. We are looking for dedicated individuals who enjoy working with others with a passion to deliver high-quality programs, events, and services.

The Successful Candidate Will :

• Set up and take down telMAX Indoor Skate Park equipment as needed, and report any issues or repairs to the Youth Centre Director.
• Develop lesson plans and evaluate the progress and participation.
• Write and hand out report cards outlining students’ accomplishments and recommendations each session. Update parents / guardians on their child’s progress.
• Keep track of participant attendance during lessons and monitor entry and exit of program participants.
• Supervise and maintain a safe environment for participants, ensure participants wear appropriate safety equipment.
• Complete Incident / Accident reports, provide basic first aid when needed, and notify the Youth Centre Director when required.

Job Requirements :

Please Note : Certifications are not required at the time of application but must be obtained prior to job commencement. The Town of Newmarket may offer opportunities for certification.
