Your Role : As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems that support our midstream oil and gas operations. With a focus on substations, power distribution, and electrical infrastructure, you will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our facilities. This role requires a seasoned professional with 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the oil and gas or energy sector.Key Responsibilities : Design, analyze, and optimize electrical systems for midstream oil and gas facilities, including substations, power distribution networks, and motor control centers.Develop and review electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.Conduct power system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies, to ensure system reliability and safety.Specify and select electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and protective relays, for new projects and system upgrades.Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues, minimizing downtime and improving operational efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the commissioning and startup of new electrical systems and upgrades.Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEEE, API).Provide technical expertise and support for capital projects, from conceptual design to execution and commissioning.Monitor and analyze electrical system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.What We’re Looking For : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the oil and gas or energy sector.Extensive experience with substation design, operation, and maintenance.Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, or similar).Strong knowledge of power system analysis, protective relaying, and motor control systems.Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE, API).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.About Airswift With more than 7,000 contractors and 700 employees in over 60 offices worldwide, our talent pool and geographical reach are unmatched in the industry.
