(“VM Food Group”) manufactures and distributes oatmeal and other hot cereal products, servicing businesses of all sizes across North America. We currently specialize in the formulation, mixing and packaging of private label oatmeal to the North American grocery market with our largest category served being single serve instant oatmeal and specialty blends. Here’s what you will do as Office Administrator : Plan and execute department meetings, luncheons and company events; Collect and organize data to write memos and reports; Maintain and update documentation, project tracking and meeting minutes; Serve as a central point of communication for management on various projects and tasks. Keep all stakeholders informed on deliverables, project statuses, and essential updates; Support HR initiatives including maintaining employee data, onboarding and offboarding tasks, administrative recruitment support, policy maintenance, health & safety, etc.; Office management duties including replenishing office materials, assisting in general maintenance of the office environment, handling mail and operating as first point of contact; Act as a member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee; Provide backup support to other departments and involvement in special projects as assigned for the overall benefit of VM Food Group. Here’s what you’ll need to be successful as Office Administrator : Completion of college diploma in business, administration or other relevant field; Minimum 3 years experience executing administrative responsibilities and supporting management. Experience in manufacturing and Human Resources administration an asset; Skilled in Microsoft Office suite with a quick adaptability to new technologies; Solid project and time management skills (overseeing multiple tasks and projects with minimal guidance); Forward thinker, natural decision-maker and self starter; Collaborative, flexible, adaptable and open to wearing many hats in our nimble and growing business; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail; High acuity in addressing incoming inquiries, and triaging response based on subject matter and urgency; Discretion in handling confidential information .
