Job description

If you enjoy hands-on work, learning advanced restoration techniques, and mentoring others, this is the role for you. As a Contents Crew Lead (Internally known as Contents Technician II), you'll play a key part in helping people recover what matters most. You'll take pride in restoring items affected by fire, water, and mold while guiding teammates, mastering specialized equipment, and making a real impact on every project.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONTENTS CREW LEAD

As a Contents Crew Lead, no two days are ever the same. One morning you might be restoring treasured family photos, and by afternoon you could be cleaning specialized equipment or mentoring a new team member. You roll up your sleeves and dive into each job with focus and pride, using advanced tools and cleaning systems to bring belongings back to life. You track and photograph contents, keep meticulous records, and make sure every item is handled with care. You troubleshoot, problem-solve, and stay one step ahead to keep projects on schedule. You take ownership of your work and lead by example, creating a positive, efficient, and safe environment for your team. Every day, your skill, energy, and attention to detail help turn chaos into calm for clients when they need it most.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in restoration, emergency services, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning methods for fire, water, and mold restoration
  • Experience operating Ozone and Hydroxyl machines or similar restoration equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and teamwork skills
  • Ability to guide and support Contents Technician I team members
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using mobile devices and apps
  • Certifications required: Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT), and Odor Control Technician (OCT)
  • Additional certifications considered an asset: Commercial Carpet Cleaning (CCT), Carpet Repair and Reinstallation (RRT), Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning (UFT), and Applied Microbial Remediation (AMRT)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • Must be able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Ability to complete work activities which may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)
