Lumenus Community Services is currently hiring a permanent full-time registered Nurse to work within our Residential programs serving youth and adults with dual diagnoses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Participate in the assessment and intakes of clients referred for the Live-in Treatment program;
- Ensure that the organization's policies and procedures for medication administration are adhered to;
- Ongoing monitoring of medications and medication related processes;
- Evaluate clients for medication side effects, intolerance, possible drug incompatibility, PRN needs, etc., and other drug-related issues on an ongoing basis;
- Provide staff development, and / or consultation regarding health issues of clients, and psychiatric illness symptomatology;
- Liaise with pharmacy , hospitals and other community medical practitioners as required;
- Train staff in medication administration;
- Work in collaboration with live-in managers and the staff teams;
- Participate in clinical meetings as appropriate;
- Support infection prevention and control practices as needed.
