Are you a Public Health Nurse PHN looking for an exciting Travel Nursing experience?

Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Nursing program has provided high-quality community health relief staffing services to Indigenous and Northern communities since 1997. Our Nurses experience exciting assignments in isolated, semi-isolated and remote areas of northern Canada.Work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) providing care to community members in Canada’s remote Northern communities of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

The work you will do :

  • Provide planned interactions within the community for clients / patients and groups to support them in specific health programs, such as : maternal child health programmingreproductive healthprenatal classescommunicable disease preventionchronic disease management
  • Utilize the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to care plan
  • Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice
  • PHN assignments in Nunavut vary from 4 to 6 weeks minimum

  • Job Qualification

    Who You Are :

  • You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the provincial governing body in good standing
  • You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the College and Association of Nurses of the NWT and Nunavut (CANNN)
  • You have (3000 hours) two (2) years of full-time experience as a Public Health Nurse OR(3000 hours) two (2) years of full-time experience working in remote, isolated or semi-isolated communities as a Public Health Nurse
  • Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
