Kinectrics has a growing portfolio of services supporting the development and deployment of new nuclear power plants in Canada and around the world. This includes Small Modular Reactors and Advanced Reactors of all technology types, as well as emerging nuclear technologies such as fusion facilities, nuclear fuel cycle facilities, and integrated modules to aid in the deployment of such technologies. Additionally, the market continues to grow for highly integrated clean energy technologies which use a nuclear reactor as a heat source such as high temperature hydrogen production cycles, process heating loads, desalination, synthetic fuels and materials production, district heating, etc.
A section under the Licensing & Advanced Reactor directorate has been established to lead this exciting area of growth for Kinectrics. This section is a hub for all SMR, Advanced Reactor, and New Build services within Kinectrics and works in a highly collaborative manner with all service lines of the company. The focus of the section is on the development, deployment, licensing, and safety case development for new nuclear technology which includes Small Modular Reactors, Advanced Reactors and Fusion technologies.
Accountabilities : How You Will Make an Impact
Provide nuclear safety and licensing support to clients in the nuclear sector in the areas of Nuclear Siting, Environmental / Impact Assessments, Deterministic Safety Analysis, Probabilistic Safety Analysis, Operational Nuclear Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Nuclear Security, Regulatory Affairs and other related disciplines.
