The Role : As an RN in the Labor & Delivery Unit, you will provide essential care to mothers and newborns during all stages of childbirth, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe and positive delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities :
Provide comprehensive nursing care to pregnant women during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases.
Conduct initial assessments, monitor vital signs, and assist in the management of pain relief strategies.
Perform X-ray procedures, including positioning patients, operating equipment, and producing high-quality images.
Assist in the delivery process, ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother and newborn.
Perform fetal monitoring, administer medications, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with established protocols and regulations.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Current, unrestricted RN license in your current province.
Minimum of 2 years (recent experience) of L&D nursing experience.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
