SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Retail Sales, this role is responsible for capturing smiles and memories of our visitors by taking and selling souvenir photos in addition to other customized items while providing the highest level of customer service as an ambassador of the Vancouver Aquarium. The Photo Experience Sales Associate‘s main focus is to generate sales by interacting with visitors upon arrival at the entrance, at the Photo Experience stations and throughout the Aquarium.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Positively represents the Vancouver Aquarium and contributes to an exceptional visitor experience through great service by :

• Enthusiastically & professionally greeting and interacting with visitors to capture their souvenir photo upon entering the facility and throughout the Aquarium;
• Promoting the sale of the guest souvenir photos, by taking, editing, processing and selling quality digital photos and other customized items while offering excellent customer service;
• Accurately performing sales transactions for cash, debit, and credit card at point of sale registers;
• Frequently organizing work stations, replenishing stock, conducting inventory, ensuring camera and computer equipment are in good working conditions;
• Represent the Aquarium high standards at all times while wearing VAMSC uniform;
• Positively and confidently communicating information about the facility, events, exhibits including respond to visitors questions about Stanley Park and other places of interests to tourists and residents;
• Supporting various Visitor Experience programs such as conducting visitor surveys, selling of memberships, and providing assistance at the Guest Services desk;
• Participating in the Cross-Training employee program-work at Admissions and Gift Shop;
