Join our team as a Yard Scrap Auditor in Hamilton where youll spend the majority of your time hands-on in the yard inspecting and verifying materials to ensure everything meets our quality standards. Youll also spend some time (about 20%) in the office helping with documentation tracking and reporting so no two days are the same!
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being active working outdoors and taking pride in keeping operations running smoothly!
What youre responsible for :
- Identifying inbound material grades non-conformities non-recyclable and hazardous material in inbound loads
- Effectively and successfully training productivity quality control and safety measures as established and set for the Inspection Team
- Facilitating and directing trucks to correct yard locations in an efficient manner
- Performing Daily Checks (Pile Quality Truck Inspection Gate Cleanliness Overnight Loads)
- Providing feedback to production about material quality or sale specifications
- Coordinating quick action for loads that need to be sorted and dealt with in a timely fashion
- Communicating with supervisors and commercial team about downgrades and deductions
- Assisting in the implementation of training programs to train external team members on quality and procedures
- Reviewing outbound sales to ensure quality specifications are met
