The Tyndale Music program is passionate about training the next generation of musicians to serve in the church and beyond.
The Voice Instructor teaches Applied Music : Voice and is the Faculty Advisor for the Internship in Music and Worship Arts course for undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Arts in Music program in both the Performance and Worship Arts Streams.
The Lead Voice Instructor is a valued member of the Music Faculty in the Tyndale Music Department and will be consulted on student auditions and placements. Further, they will mentor upper year students preparing for Recitals (Performance stream) and Worship Leadership Projects (Worship Arts stream).
Primary Responsibilities
Teach Applied Music : Voice course to music majors / minors in both Performance and Worship Arts streams
The Applied Music : Voice course offers individual weekly lessons teaching the fundamentals of singing and healthy vocal production.
Repertoire may cover a wide range of material from classical to contemporary to accommodate the breadth of both music streams
Course administration through online course management system (Moodle)
Faculty Advisor for Internship in Music and Worship Arts course
Support and advise Worship Arts majors / minors in the Internship in Music and Worship Arts course
Course administration through Moodle
Contribute to Music Faculty decisions on incoming students
Other duties may be considered depending on departmental needs and the qualifications of the candidate, including lecture courses.

Undergraduate degree in vocal performance
Graduate degree in vocal performance (preferred)
Evidence of professional performance experience
Evidence of successful teaching experience
University-level teaching experience preferred
