Qualifications :
- Registration (member in good standing) with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- New licensed graduates are welcome to apply
- Previous experience treating clients with physical and mental health
- Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long terms disability, and veteran referrals is a strong asset
- Post-graduate training in concussion and cognitive rehabilitation is a strong asset
- A valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle is preferred
- Excellent oral, written and report-writing skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
Responsibilities :
- Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
- Educating clients on topics such as pacing, pain, cognitive behavioral strategies and task modification strategies to help improve function
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, physicians, and psychologists.
- Participating in case conferences and case management
- Utilizing e-charting software to document treatment sessions; submitting reports to stakeholders in a timely manner
- Managing caseload in a fast paced environment
