Developing relationships with hard to reach parents and caregivers is an important part of this work. Decades of research prove that children’s outcomes are deeply related to family context. The Family Centre uses Two Generations approach to guide all our services, we strive to serve children and their caregivers together to harness the family’s full potential and to put the entire family on a path to long term health and wellness. In the community, about 40% of the work is focused on developing and maintaining relationships, providing informal clinical support to children, school staff and other team members, and group work; 60% of their time would be formal counselling.
