Job Title: Millwright

Job Description

The millwright will ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are consistently met. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical functions, drive units, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plumbing, and electrical components. The millwright will also evaluate equipment for repairs or upgrades, utilizing skills in design, layout, sheet metal work, welding, carpentry, and painting. Continuous improvement methodologies will be employed, and collaboration with the engineering group is required to implement design changes, enhance equipment, and facilitate plant layout modifications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Evaluate equipment for repairs, enhancements, or upgrades.
• Utilize design, layout, and fabrication skills for equipment modifications.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement design changes and plant layout modifications.
• Work with external contractors as needed in production and related areas.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Certified Millwright (433A).
• Experience with fabrication, installation, and welding (TIG/MIG, plasma cutting, manual mill machining).
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Experience with lift equipment, maintenance, blueprint reading, installation, hand tools, plumbing, and PLCs.

Work Environment

Join a maintenance team of 7-8 professionals with an apprenticeship program. Work with a range of equipment from traditional mechanical systems to modern automated machinery. The focus is on quality, uptime, and safety, with an emphasis on preventive maintenance and continuous improvement. Collaboration is key, working closely with engineering, IT, and production teams for equipment upgrades and installations.

The role operates on straight afternoon shifts from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with opportunities for overtime and a shift premium.

The pay range for this position is $78124.80 - $92393.60/yr.
