Role

The  Mechanical Technician / Millwright  is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient production. This role involves troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and adhering to company safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

Qualifications :

  • Licensed Millwright (or equivalent education & experience in industrial mechanical maintenance).
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with alignment and calibration tools.
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Scope of Machines & Equipment :

    Finishing :   Industrial online pipe cutting machine, threading machine for oil and gas pipes, hydro tester equipment for oil and gas pipes, online coupling buck on machine for oil and gas pipes, walking beam handling equipment, roll conveyor lines, gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, grease lubrication systems, and oil hydraulic systems, pumps and valves (directional and proportional).

    Hot Rolling Mill :   Oil hydraulic systems, pumps and valves (directional and proportional) ,  centralized lubrication systems, grease Lubrication systems , r oll conveyor lines , i ndustrial pipe handling (rotary arms, chains, levers and kicks) ,  gearboxes ,  hydraulic cylinders and rotary actuators, furnace handling (beams, levers, rolls refractory steel), and walking beam systems.

    Schedule & Working Conditions :

  • 12hr rotational shift,with flexibility based on business needs.
  • Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill.
  • Compensation

    The hourly range for this role is $ – $ / hour.

    Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
