Medical Laboratory Technologist

Location : Northern Ontario

Rate : $80 / hr

Our client is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their healthcare team in Northern Ontario. This role provides the opportunity to work across multiple laboratory disciplines, engaging both directly with patients and in behind-the-scenes diagnostics that contribute to high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic results. This position offers a mix of patient-facing responsibilities and technical lab work, making it an excellent fit for individuals who thrive in dynamic healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory testing across multiple disciplines to support patient care.
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as required.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality control in all laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain proper documentation and adhere to regulatory and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support diagnostic and treatment plans.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment and technology to analyze specimens efficiently.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
  • Previous experience in laboratory disciplines and phlebotomy is an asset.
