Who we need

The Intern, Medical Underwriting Admin. will be responsible for reviewing and assessing insurance applications. You will complete sensitive medical telephone interviews and apply that information to applicable manuals. You will also assist and support the underwriting team, by completing their daily task including ordering medical requirements, and replying to emails and phone inquiries.

What you will do

• Prepare new files;
• Conduct medical telephone interviews with clients;
• Support underwriters with tele scripts;
• Order medical requirements;
• Handle email inquiries;
• Manage calls with clients;
• Be a resource person and support the activities of the team;

What you will bring

The education. You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary education.

The experience. You have some customer service experience.

The knowledge. You already have been exposed to medical function and environment.

The skills. You possess excellent time management, communication and organizational skills. You have the ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment. And you are able to obtain sensitive information and provide a high level of service and privacy.

The drive. You are empathetic, attentive to details, and you have good listening skills.
