About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for the organization and the supervision of the daily operation of the (specialty areas) OR (General Imaging ) in the Division of Diagnostic Imaging at Nova Scotia Health. In addition to the above-noted supervisory role, the successful applicant will also perform clinical duties within their fields of competency.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following :

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification

Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure

  • Minimum (3) three years’ recent experience required working as a technologist in a hospital setting
  • Formal management course preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities in a multi-modality / site imaging department.
  • Ensures competency, and maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
  • Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to prioritize upon short notice while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-developed decision-making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Conflict management skills and knowledge of appropriate resources
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

    Hours

  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Compensation and Benefits

    HTH526 level / Team Lead for MRT's :  $34.40 - $41.76 hourly

    HTH 230 level / Team Lead for Specialty (NM / CT / MR / IV) :   $33.97 - $42.40 hourly
