Job descriptionAlign daily tasks with the company's mission, vision, and values. Follow all Health & Safety policies and industry regulations. Ability to troubleshoot and repair Tennant, Pioneer, and similar cleaning equipment. Strong customer service skills to address client and subcontractor concerns promptly. Willingness to travel frequently within designated territories, with occasional out-of-province travel. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve issues efficiently. Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and on-call support. Technical expertise in small engine repair and industrial cleaning equipment. Experience with Tennant, Pioneer, and similar machines is preferred. Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms for work order administration. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Email). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Completion of a technical trades certification or 3-5 years of experience in small equipment repair. Basic computer skills. Adecco is hiring a Small Engine Mechanic to provide mechanical services and repairs for scrubbers, burnishers, vacuums, and other related cleaning equipment for our client. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing Tennant, Pioneer, and similar industrial cleaning machines, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a 24 / 7 on-call environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnose and repair industrial floor scrubbers, burnishers, vacuums, and other related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and service schedules as assigned.
- Provide on-call support, including scheduled weekend rotations.
- Attend service repair calls in designated territories, with occasional travel beyond assigned areas.
- Administer service appointments, upload reports, and ensure completion of work orders within 72 hours.
- Plan and coordinate service routes efficiently.
- Maintain and manage parts inventory in the assigned service vehicle, conducting periodic audits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve work-related issues, implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
- Train subcontractors and area managers on best practices for maintaining equipment.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and submit service reports as required by the Manager of Mechanical Services .
