Job description
Our client, a leader in power generation services, is seeking a Generator Mechanic to join their team. As a Generator Mechanic, you will be part of the technical support department supporting the maintenance and repair of power generation equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Generator Mechanic
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Pay Range: $70000 - $80000
Shift: Full time, plus OT, after hours on call
What's the Job?
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on generators and related equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and engine issues efficiently and accurately.
- Utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients on-site.
What's Needed?
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a generator field service technician.
- College-level Power Generation Diploma, Certified Mechanic with electrical skills, or Licensed Electrician with mechanical skills preferred.
- A valid driver's license in good standing.
- Working knowledge of D/C and A/C electrical systems.
- Mechanical, engine, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
