A client in the automotive service industry is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Wellness (HSW) Manager to lead their HSW team and drive a culture of excellence in health, safety, and well-being across the organization. This is a hybrid role based out of Montreal with 10-25% travel expected across Canada.The Role : Collaborate with headquarters to advance HSW culture and deploy key guidelines and management tools.Lead the implementation of the management system action plan, including policy and procedure development, change management, and communication.Serve as an expert on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) issues, providing coaching and training to managers and employees.Identify, assess, and document workplace safety risks and recommend protective measures in collaboration with managers.Support HSW advisors in conducting investigations, analyzing incidents, and implementing corrective measures.Ensure emergency preparedness processes and resources are maintained.Maintain up-to-date records on safety data, audits, and risk portfolios.Oversee claims management and conduct financial reviews in collaboration with external providers.Stay updated on evolving regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance with HSW programs and practices.Present safety performance results and support managers in fostering OHS leadership.Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management.Promote a culture of prevention, awareness, and engagement in health and safety.Lead the HSW team, fostering continuous improvement in health and safety practices.Candidate Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Human Resources or related discipline with post-secondary education in Occupational Health and SafetyMinimum of 10 years of experience in OHS, with multi-site experience and previous experience with managing teamsExperience with claims and supplier management.Strong ability to influence and enforce safety procedures and corporate standards.Effective communicator with strong time management and organizational skills.Bilingual proficiency in both English and French is required.
