Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager or Portfolio Manager to complement our team. As a small firm, we place great emphasis on finding a candidate whose personality aligns with our values and culture.
The candidate will play a key role in fostering and maintaining client relationships, aiming to understand their life goals, situations, and financial requirements thoroughly, thereby providing customized portfolio solutions while ensuring client satisfaction. This role involves analyzing financial data, monitoring market trends, and making informed investment decisions to optimize portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Identify new business opportunities through client referrals or prospective clients.
Manage and monitor investment portfolios to ensure alignment with clients' objectives, risk tolerance, and investment guidelines.
Provide comprehensive financial planning advice and solutions, with a focus on enabling clients to achieve their goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their financial goals and providing tailored investment solutions.
Utilizing the KYC process and IPS to understand client needs and determine appropriate asset allocation models.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Adhere to regulatory requirements and compliance standards in portfolio management activities.
Foster a culture of open communication, actively participate in investment meetings and encourage the generation of innovative ideas.
Education / Work Experience
Licensed as a Portfolio Manager or Associate Portfolio Manager or has the ability to become licensed as Portfolio Manager or Associate Portfolio Manager upon hire.
Proven experience in portfolio management, client service, or related roles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as interpersonal, listening, and people management skills.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and committed to executing with integrity.
University Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
CIM, CFP or CFA qualification is preferred.
Working knowledge of individual investment account types (RRSP, LIRA, TFSA, Taxable, Corporate, FHSA) is required.
