Responsibilities : Maintain current knowledge of developments in occupational therapy through literature review, educational programs, and involvement in professional groups. Demonstrate concern and interest in providing quality care to the residents. Interact with residents and their relatives in a manner, which demonstrates tact, empathy and patience. Collaborate effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. What you need to succeed : Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university plus one year of post-graduate experience in occupational therapy in geriatrics. Registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College of Occupational Therapists in BC. Ability to work independently and be self-directed. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
