Job descriptionPrepare accurate cost estimates for marine construction projects by reviewing project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation. Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Gather pricing information from vendors and subcontractors to support accurate estimates. Prepare bid proposals and tender submissions, working closely with clients and stakeholders. Recommend cost-saving strategies through value engineering and process optimization. Manage procurement processes, including sourcing materials and negotiating supplier contracts. Monitor project budgets, control expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures where possible. Track project costs and prepare financial reports for internal management and clients. Ensure timely payments and accurate billing in accordance with project contracts and schedules. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing client expectations. Attend client meetings, project briefings, and site inspections. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring all members are aligned with project goals and company values. Conduct regular project meetings, track milestones, and manage deliverables. Prepare and present progress reports for senior management and stakeholders. Education : Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in marine construction (pile driving, dredging, demolition, remediation, or new construction). Technical Skills : Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Bluebeam, Word, Outlook) and knowledge of drafting tools and construction accounting software. Certifications : Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (preferred). Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication abilities for managing client relationships and internal reporting. Problem-Solving : Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk mitigation. Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with Canadian marine construction standards, WSBC regulations, environmental regulations, and safety compliance. A dynamic and supportive work environment. Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Marine Project Manager to oversee and manage marine construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in marine construction project management, with expertise in estimating, procurement, client relations, accounting, and drafting. This role is based in Victoria, BC, and will require a dynamic, results-driven professional who understands marine construction processes and industry standards.

- Develop and manage project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of marine construction projects, including pile driving, dredging, demolition, remediation, and new construction.
