Opportunity :
A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Naval Architect / Marine Engineer to contribute to critical naval programs. You will be involved in a range of engineering tasks, from technical support to project management, while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Support : Provide expert technical support on a range of engineering tasks, including :
Developing detailed technical work instructions
Conducting failure analysis and solution development
Performing structural and stability calculations
Supporting lifting appliance certification, design, and testing
Project Management : Manage and execute engineering projects, from initial planning to final delivery.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, classification society rules, and naval ship codes.
Collaboration : Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, naval architects, and project managers to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, or ship operations.
- Eligible for a Professional Engineer registration in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, or Ontario.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
