Job Summary:
As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. You will lead a team of skilled culinary professionals to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff scheduling
– Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement innovative menu items and streamline kitchen processes
– Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
– Mentor and train kitchen staff to enhance their skills and promote a positive work environment
– Monitor and report on kitchen performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
– Minimum 3 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar leadership role within the food service industry
– Proven track record of managing a high-volume kitchen operation and leading a team of culinary professionals
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
– Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and budget oversight
– Strong working knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
– Culinary diploma or equivalent training preferred
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a fast-paced, commercial kitchen environment. Typical work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the cafe's operating schedule. The role may also involve occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
