Job description

SUPERVISOR, CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT & PROJECT CONTROLS - LEDUC

JOB POSTING # S4-26

In this salaried position, the successful candidate is responsible for providing supervision to the new business and system betterment construction function; providing supervision over all work and contracts related to pipeline system and station refurbishment construction; proactively supervising the work of contractors, workers, and public safety within the construction function; representing the Company to industry associations; and performing other duties as assigned.

Major duties include but are not limited to:

  • Leading and being accountable for the safe and successful execution of new business and system betterment construction;
  • Assisting in identifying scope, completion, and maintenance of construction schedules;
  • Leading the completion , review and updating of schedules and costs forecasts on a weekly basis;
  • Understanding and enforcing prime and subcontractor responsibilities;
  • Supervising the preparation and review of tender documents; and
  • Participating and contributing to natural gas related incident investigations.

Qualifications include:

  • Diploma in Construction Management or equivalent;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation;
  • More than seven (7) years of related experience in a construction projects management role;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in estimating; and
  • Proven ability to coordinate work plans, budgets, forecasts, plans and schedules.
