We are committed to environmental sustainability, superior quality and excellent customer service.POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Logistics Department, AZ Drivers are responsible for the pick-up and delivery of raw material and finished goods on a variety of routes and shifts. SCHEDULE: MONDAY TO FRIDAY 10 TO 12 HOURS PER DAYESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:Required at times to drive out-of-town routes into the Greater Toronto Area, including TorontoEvening shifts along with weekend work will be required depending on weekly route scheduling.Accurate completion and submission of all required paperwork.Conduct all interactions with customers and suppliers in a respectful, professional, and service oriented manner.Required to formally report any concerns or customer service-related issues.Responsible for following all Company and Health and Safety rules and for communicating all reportable incidents.Responsible to ensure that both tractors and trailers are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.Responsible for ensuring safe driving operations at all times.Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with ad-hoc issues that may arise.Drivers will be scheduled for AZ and DZ routes.This is only a summary of the primary responsibilities and may be amended as necessary based on the needs of the business.EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Valid AZ LicenseClean driving recordCustomer service orientedFamiliarity driving within the Province of OntarioWorking knowledge and adherence to HTA and MTO applicable legislationFlexible and willing to work overtime as requiredTeam oriented and willing to assist with all routesTasks will include some physical demands such as repetitive pulling, pushing, lifting etc. Ability to complete physical requirements is requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the AODA, ESA, OHSA and other federal, and provincial standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the AODA, ESA, OHSA and other federal, and provincial standardsAbility to keep up with physically demanding tasks such as repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, lifting etc.Sitting for long stretches at a time (up to 3 hours)Must be able to alternate between walking, standing and moving for periods of time.Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbsMust be able to climb onto truck trailers, climb truck ladders as required and stretch and view difficult areasWE OFFER:AZ Driver rate: $31.87 plus overtime after 40 hoursDZ Driver Rate: $30.84 Plus overtime after 40 hoursUniforms providedSafety shoe/boot programFull Benefits covered by the company-Life Insurance, Disability, Employee Assistance Program and a Flexible Health and Dental Benefit PlanDefined Contribution Pension PlanEducational Assistance Programs, Scholarship Programs, Apprenticeship ProgramsDarling Ingredients Canada Inc. is committed to a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities where our facilities are located.
