Adecco is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our client's team in Debert, Nova Scotia. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent service standards. This is a temporary to possibly permanent position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Pay rate : TBD based on experience

New and quicker onboarding process Responsibilities :
Pre-inspect truck for safety and maintenance issues
Complete manifest and log book, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order
Maintain and report any damages, repairs, or malfunctions on equipment
Drive transport truck or straight truck in a safe, professional, and respectful manner
Ensure that merchandise is safely loaded and stowed in the truck without damage
Unload trailers at stores, ensuring accurate case-count delivery
Maintain positive relations with customers and uphold a well-groomed appearance
Drive safely in various weather conditions and follow all safety protocols
Follow instructions outlined in driver SOPs with attention to detail
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager Requirements :
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
Valid Class 1 Driver's License
2-3 years of experience driving a tractor-trailer or straight truck
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate case-count deliveries
Physical stamina to handle frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
Ability to lift up to 88 lbs. and perform two-person lifts for heavier loads
Capability to stand and walk for extended periods
Alertness and safety-conscious driving in all conditions
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
