Engage in project development activities, including defining and clarifying scope, preconstruction planning, and developing control estimates for delivery.
Provide preconstruction services by preparing preliminary budgets, cost plans, and identifying value engineering opportunities.
Assess general expenses and contribute to margin and fee determinations.
Oversee the preparation and execution of detailed quantity takeoff estimates, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Gather information from subcontractors and suppliers while analyzing their requirements.
Support the negotiation and awarding of contracts.
Assist with project planning and scheduling efforts.

Minimum 8+ years of estimating experience
Proven ability to prepare detailed cost estimates and preliminary budgets, with a focus on value engineering.
Strong analytical skills to assess general expenses, margins, and fees accurately.
Experience conducting comprehensive quantity takeoff estimates while identifying risks and opportunities.
Excellent communication skills for soliciting information from subcontractors and suppliers and negotiating contracts.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to assist in project planning and scheduling.
Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
