Responsibilities : Inspection Support

  • Monitors and maintains computerized database programs used by Long Term Care Homes Inspectors, including entering, updating and manipulatingdata with database programs, maintaining intake database, creating tables and queries, filtering and sorting data to create and provide a range ofstatistical and ad-hoc reports. Gathers data from online databases, online files and records to support responses to a range of Freedom of Information
  • MPP / MP and Minister's Office requests, ensuring timelines and service standards are met.
  • Coordinates the arrangement of Inspectors' work schedules for inspections and monitors and maintains Inspector work log scheduler as well astracking numbers of inspections, length of time of inspections and numbers of outstanding inspections. Ensures the preparation and maintenance of
  • Resident Quality Inspection (RQI) toolkits, including ensuring materials are up to date (including inspection materials and checklists, USS memory stick,portable printer, supplies, etc.), ensuring ROI toolkits are in ROI bags and ready as needed by Inspectors.
  • Coordinates the loglstlcal arrangements for travel and accommodations, room bookings for meetings and conferences, video / teleconferences,including booking of boardrooms and required equipment, for Inspectors.
  • Prepares inspection report packages for public release and reviews reports to ensure no confidential information is Included (e.g. resident or staffpersonal information) and prepares reports for emailing and scanning for uploading, tracks progress of inspection reports after inspections, sendingreminder emails and Identifying delays in the preparation of inspection reports to the appropriate staff member.
  • Communicates by email with LTCH Administrateor after completion of Resident Quality Inspections (ROI) to convey information about the completion ofthe L TCH Post-ROI Satisfaction Survey and the link to an on-line survey tool.
  • Qualifications :

    Description of Work – High Level :

    The key assignment for this project is to convert approximately 6,000 historical LTC inspection reports covering the past three years into an AODA-compliant HTML format, providing critical public information in a way that is equitable and accessible to all, and making the reports fully readable for assistive technologies. This task will require manually reviewing each existing report and copying and pasting content into the HTML site.

    1. Preparation and Access

  • Step 1.1 : The resource logs into the secure folder containing the historical LTC inspection reports.
  • Step 1.2 : The resource retrieves the public report (English version first).
  • 2. Content Remediation

  • Step 2.1 : The resource reviews the existing report for completeness and clarity.
  • Step 2.2 : The resource copies content from the report into an AODA-compliant HTML template.
  • Step 2.3 : The resource ensures that the content in the template adheres to AODA standards (e.g., proper tagging, semantic structure, and compatibility with assistive technologies).
  • Step 2.4 : The resource reviews the HTML document for accuracy and compliance.
  • 3. French Version Remediation

  • Step 3.1 : The resource retrieves the corresponding French version of the public report.
  • Step 3.2 : Repeat Steps 2.1–2.4 for the French version.
  • 4. Document Saving and Organization

  • Step 4.1 : The resource saves the AODA-compliant English version of the report in the "Complete" folder.
  • Step 4.2 : The resource saves the AODA-compliant French version of the report in the "Complete" folder.
  • 5. Next Report

  • Step 5.1 : The resource returns to the secure folder and selects the next public report.
  • Step 5.2 : Repeat Steps 1–4 for the new report.
  • Key Notes :

  • Each report requires two separate remediations : one for the English version and one for the French version.
  • The secure folder system ensures data integrity and controlled access.
  • Regular quality checks can be incorporated at the end of each batch of reports for additional assurance.
