Adecco is actively seeking a Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist to lead the development, implementation, and management of its compensation, benefits, and pension programs. Based in St. Thomas, ON, this full-time role offers a competitive salary of $100,000 - $120,000 per annum and provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with global teams, manage complex compensation structures, and shape benefits programs in a startup-like environment.
Pay Rate : $100k-$120k / year based on experience.
Location : St. Thomas, ON | Hybrid - 2 days in office
Shift : Monday-Friday 9 : 00am-5 : 00pm
Job type : Permanent | Full-time Responsibilities :
Lead the development and implementation of compensation, benefits, and pension programs.
Collaborate with business leaders locally and with global teams to ensure alignment with international standards.
Ensure compliance with Canadian regulations, including CPP, EI, and provincial health regulations.
Design cost-effective strategies for compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness within the market.
Analyze compensation policies in relation to Canadian wage laws, market trends, and company goals.
Partner with HRBPs, payroll, and finance teams on compensation data needs, budget planning, and salary reviews.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate fees related to benefit plan administration.
Lead strategic direction for health, welfare, retirement (DC plans, RSPs), and other employee benefits.
Oversee the annual benefits design process, benchmarking against market standards to ensure competitive offerings.
Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding benefits plans.
Administer Defined Contribution (DC) pension plans and Registered Savings Plans (RSPs).
Drive the annual benefits enrollment process for employees and retirees.
Lead market research on compensation benchmarking and total rewards.
Administer salary reviews, annual bonus programs, and special salary adjustments.
Collaborate with Finance and business leaders to manage budgets, communicate changes, and implement pay philosophy strategies.
Develop compensation packages for new hires that ensure competitive pay and alignment with company values. Requirements :
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Sociology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
5+ years of direct compensation experience in large organizations, ideally with exposure to rapidly scaling or dynamic environments.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Project management experience is an asset.
Proficiency in Excel and MS Office. Experience with HR SAP and SuccessFactors is a plus.
Ability to plan, schedule, and deliver both long-term and short-term projects.
