Senior Legal Counsel, Compliance – Repentigny

Our client, a company whose business model operates through acquisition, is currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel with approximately 8 years or more of experience to join its Legal Affairs Department. This employer stands out for the friendliness of its team, and its concern to provide exceptional service.

This opportunity will allow you to carry out a variety of mandates in the areas of corporate law, compliance and governance. You will also be exposed to litigation and transaction management cases.

YOUR ROLE :

More information about the functions of this job is as follows :

Comply with legal rules and requirements in order to achieve the company's business goals and objectives;
Ensure legislative monitoring and interpret the law in order to offer legal advice to the employer;
Act as corporate secretary, participate in annual meetings and various committees;
Draft policies and directives applicable by the employer;
Supporting internal customers in environmental matters, new energies and energy news and Information Technology.

SKILLS REQUIRED :

Be a member of the Barreau du Québec with a minimum of approximately 8 years or more of experience in business law (more specifically in corporate law, governance, compliance);

Organizational skills, ability to manage multiple competing priorities as well as tight deadlines;

Flexible and able to adapt in a highly dynamic environment;

Be available to travel according to the needs of the employer in Eastern Canada;

Ability to work in a team.
