Senior Insurance Coverage Lawyer

The Role :
Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Lawyer with a strong background in providing legal services to institutional clients, including insurance companies, directors, and construction-focused organizations.
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in drafting complex legal opinions, handling errors and omissions (E&O) matters, and litigating coverage disputes. This role offers flexibility in location, allowing candidates to be based in Alberta or Vancouver, with remote working options available.

Key Responsibilities
Legal Opinions : Draft detailed and well-reasoned coverage opinions for insurance companies and institutional clients.
Coverage Analysis : Analyze insurance policies, including errors and omissions, directors and officers (D&O), and construction-related coverages, to assess exposure and liability.
Litigation : Handle all stages of litigation, from discovery to resolution, including representing clients in court or arbitration for coverage disputes.
Client Advisory : Provide strategic legal advice to clients, focusing on risk mitigation and efficient resolution of coverage issues.
Collaboration : Work closely with a team of lawyers, adjusters, and other stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum 7 years of experience specializing in insurance coverage law, with a focus on institutional clients.
Expertise : Strong knowledge of E&O, D&O, and construction-related insurance coverage matters.
Litigation Skills : Proven ability to litigate complex insurance issues effectively
