Arcadis Vancouver office is searching for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team.
Are you looking to be a part of a team that specialises in the design tendering and contract administration of mechanical systems such as HVAC process exhaust hydronics plumbing fire protection etc You will have the opportunity to work on projects in Toronto as well as collaborating with other Arcadis offices all throughout North America.The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in HVAC plumbing & drainage and fire protection systems as well as handson experience with process engineering systems such as compressed air and fueling systems. Role accountabilities :
- Contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems for building projects while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Collaborating with senior engineers to support the implementation of process engineering systems
- Participating in site assessments and reviews to verify the performance and functionality of mechanical systems
- Providing technical support to project teams contractors and clients and actively participating in project planning and coordination efforts
- Assisting in the preparation of engineering calculations reports and staying updated with advancements in mechanical engineering technologies and best practices
- Coordinate with architectural team and other engineering disciplines and actively participate in project planning and budgeting
- Design and engineer buildingrelated systems including HVAC hydronics plumbing drainage fire protection controls and building automation systems
- Support the design of industrial systems such as compressed air lubrication and fueling systems as well as service connections for machine installations
- Analyze heating and cooling loads using computerized methods
- Develop and write engineering study reports
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards during design development and coordinate with the energy analysis team for compliance with energy standards
- Take responsibility for the production of construction documents and construction administration for projects and review and approve technical documentation
- Conduct quality assurance checks foster innovation and drive continuous improvement within the engineering team

The salary range for this position is $80000 $90000. The base salary represents Arcadis hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors such as location skills experience and qualification for the role.
