Job Title : Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Psychiatrist
Work Site : Vancouver, BC – Multiple Locations
Status : Permanent - Part Time (0.7 FTE)

Come work as an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team provides specialized community treatment and rehabilitation for clients with mental disorders and substance use, employing over 100 psychiatrists across multiple sites.
As an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will :
- Support clients in the community who exhibit complex mental health needs and high levels of comorbidity (substance use disorders, general health problems, and / or significant risk of aggression). The work is fast-paced, exciting, and intense.
- Be involved with significant outreach, both independently and with clinical colleagues in various settings, including private residences, SROs, shelters, corrections offices, jail, and public areas.
- Partner with teams of Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Health Care Workers, Peer Specialists, GPs, Concurrent Disorders Clinicians, and law enforcement to provide quality care.
