Summary :

We are currently hiring for a Laboratory Technician A to join our Mississauga facility conducting VOC analyses. This position is the third level position into the laboratory. The successful candidate is given direction from the Laboratory Supervisor. The Laboratory Technician A is able to work independently on laboratory activities and is responsible for maintaining some of the instruments being used in the lab.

Duties :

• Perform sample, reagent and calibration preparation as directed;
• Calibrate, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and conduct routine maintenance on all assigned instruments;
• Compile, verify and validate accurate data records;
• Meet quality assurance and turnaround specifications;
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures;
• Report results
• Other duties assigned.

Work Environment : This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
