Mommy’s Helper / Family Assistant – South Mississauga (3 Days / Week)
We are a warm and welcoming family with two young children—a 4 year-old in Junior Kindergarten and a 2 year old in full-time daycare. We are looking for a reliable and organized Mommy’s Helper to support our home in the afternoons, with a primary focus on meal preparation and light household tasks, along with a short period of after-school care.
Schedule :
3 weekdays per week (days can be discussed)
Afternoon / early evening hours
Responsibilities include meeting our 4 year-old off the bus and providing approximately 1 hour of supervision
Key Responsibilities :
Receive 4-year-old off the bus and provide brief, engaging after-school care (approx. 1 hour)
Prepare simple, healthy family dinners
Maintain a tidy kitchen (dishes, counters, light clean-up)
Assist with general household organization and light tidying
Occasional support with both children if they are home sick (rare)
About the Role :
This position is primarily focused on helping keep our home running smoothly in the afternoons and evenings. While some childcare is involved, the majority of the role centers around meal prep and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and living space.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in a similar family assistant, household helper, or childcare role
Comfortable with young children (preschool and toddler age)
Organized, dependable, and proactive
Warm, trustworthy, and able to work independently
References required
Compensation :
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
