Job descriptionGood Knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365 business central or FSC (Finance & supply chain) or SAP. Bilingual : English / Punjabi is a strong asset. Understanding of Canadian accounting laws and regulations. Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills. Proven experience in financial project management. Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel, and experience working with sophisticated ERP software. Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understand. Knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting.

Our client is looking for a high potential Accountant to join their team in Edmonton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports, and maintenance of accounting records.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Work with Management to develop and implement internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.
- Coordinate and direct budgeting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Establish and maintain financial controls with the accounting department.
- Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis.
- Create budgets and forecasts.
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Provide support to management, particularly in financial matters.
- Create reports that help senior leadership understand company financials.
- Be responsible for the company general ledger.
