Job descriptionReview updates in a sandbox environment to evaluate features, performance, and hardware requirements. Recommend updates and schedule implementations to minimize disruptions. Provide technical support for software applications, managing user accounts and troubleshooting issues using a ticketing system. Prioritize, track, and resolve reported issues promptly and effectively. Manage and maintain SharePoint sites, including document libraries, workflows, permissions, and content organization. Collaborate with departments to create and optimize SharePoint-based solutions for collaboration and content management. Support and manage cloud-based applications within the Microsoft 365 tenant and Azure environment. Leverage Azure tools for monitoring, scaling, and securing cloud applications. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to train users on applications. Develop user manuals tailored to specific roles or functions and conduct training sessions. Implement, monitor, and respond to security protocols, including antivirus tools, password policies, and access controls, to protect sensitive data and software integrity. Conduct routine audits to ensure systems and software are updated and optimized across all devices and operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android, etc.). Customize software to meet company requirements and integrate applications to enhance efficiency and productivity. Manage software licenses to ensure compliance with legal requirements and optimize costs. Document policies and procedures for software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and technical support. Negotiate, contract, and liaise with external IT service providers to address issues beyond in-house capabilities. Strong knowledge of operating systems, networks, hardware, software architecture, development methodologies, IT security, SharePoint, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure. Experience managing Microsoft 365 tenants and Azure environments, including security, monitoring, and scaling applications. Expertise in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivering software solutions within scope, on time, and within budget. Ability to align software capabilities with organizational objectives through effective change management. Competence in leveraging analytics to monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A post-secondary degree or certification in computer science or a related field is required. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role. Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably NetSuite), CRM systems, CAD tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor), and BIM software (e.g., Comsense or Avaware). Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator is an asset. Advanced skills in SharePoint content management, Microsoft 365 tenant administration, and Azure cloud management. Expertise in SharePoint, Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
