Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is offering a hands-on development opportunity through the Operations Manager Trainee Program — designed to upskill high-potential individuals and prepare them for potential future leadership roles within our grain operations network.
The goal of this program is to equip individuals with the tools, experience, and confidence needed to take on increased responsibilities within our operations teams.
P&H Grain The P&H Grain Division is a comprehensive grain and crop input network, operating across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces, Ontario and Quebec.
Our strategically positioned facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and specialized export terminals, ensure that we effectively match producer grain with the needs of both domestic and export end users.

Some of our benefits include : Extended Health & Dental Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off Company Events Your Role As an Operations Manager Trainee, the successful candidates will gain the knowledge and understanding of the various responsibilities required to successfully step into the role of an Operations Manager.
The program focuses on developing leadership, operational understanding, and communication skills through a blended training approach, including personal mentorship, on-the-job training, e-learning modules, virtual sessions and webinars.
Location : The training program will be based at a P&H site in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba, and some travel throughout the program may be required. Relocation : Candidates must be willing and able to relocate if a future leadership opportunity arises at another P&H location.
Term : 18-month contract.
What You’ll Learn The successful candidates will gain experience and exposure in areas such as : Inventory management Shipping, receiving and logistics Facility maintenance and equipment Quality control and audits Grain procurement and customer service Risk management and compliance Health and food safety Leadership development What We’re Looking For We’re seeking individuals who are ready to take initiative and expand their skills!
Experience participating in the operation of a grain elevator, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities Working knowledge of the grain industry including grading, elevator equipment and processes, and effective product storage Practical experience in mechanical repair and maintenance Proven ability to work in a team environment, with demonstrated leadership abilities Proficient computer skills with an aptitude for learning and adapting to new software Ability to travel throughout the program as needed Willingness and ability to relocate if an opportunity arises To apply and learn more visit us at www.pandhcareers.com We thank all applicants, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
