Inventory Controller
Full-time | On-site | Free parking
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to ensure inventory accuracy, quality of inbound receipts, and data reliability within the system. The role also includes logistics coordination (transportation, follow-ups, customs) and direct support to the sales team (ETAs, expiry dates, inventory levels).
Responsibilities
Receive merchandise and perform counts to validate quantity accuracy.
Immediately report any damage, discrepancies, or non-conformities upon receipt.
Enter receipts into the system and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
Perform inventory adjustments and conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
Track ETAs and incoming shipments and follow up as needed.
Coordinate inbound logistics : scheduling appointments, booking trucks, customs coordination, shipment tracking, follow-ups, and record-keeping (rates, services, tracking, negotiation notes).
Prepare and maintain various inventory reports (recurring and ad hoc).
Support the sales team by providing key information such as ETAs, expiration dates, and availability / stock indicators.
Apply monthly promotions in the system and update price lists.
Take on additional related duties as the role evolves.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management (or a related role).
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Strong follow-up skills, particularly for urgent and time-sensitive matters.
Professionalism, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Strong computer skills and comfort using inventory management systems.
