Putting people first is at the heart of the Concert Properties story. In 1989, Concert Properties was founded on three principles that still stand the test of time. The first is to deliver attractive, long-term returns for its owners; the second is to create jobs and use skilled construction union labour; and the third is to give back to the communities where it works. The company’s initial mandate was to create assured rental housing. Concert Properties has since grown and diversified and become a real estate corporation owned by 49 union and management pension plans and institutional investors that represent over 200,000 Canadians. In addition to its core real estate business, Concert Properties provides discrete business support to Concert Infrastructure, an independent entity founded in 2010 that invests in, develops and manages critical public infrastructure projects that strengthen communities across Canada, while delivering stable financial returns for pension plan shareholders.
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Information, Systems & Technology (IST) is a key strategic leadership role. This position combines the responsibilities of managing the overall IT strategy and operations with leading innovation efforts in digital technologies to enhance business performance, operational efficiency and elevate customer experience. The SVP, IST will be responsible for aligning IT and digital strategies with the organization's business objectives, modernizing legacy systems, optimizing business processes and enabling the organization to leverage technology to stay competitive in the digital era. This role involves leading the evolution of technology infrastructure, digital platforms, cybersecurity and data analytics. While the SVP of IST will be employed by Concert Properties, they also will support Concert Infrastructure, ensuring technology strategies align across both organizations.
The preferred candidate will be a highly successful information technology executive who has been responsible for strategy and execution and for partnering with and delivering services to different operating divisions. Armed with a demonstrated ability to align IT strategies with business objectives and manage large-scale technology programs within a national organization, the ideal candidate will be highly strategic and have demonstrated project management and digital skills. Experience leading an ERP update and overseeing cyber is ideal.
Based in Vancouver, this is an exciting opportunity for a progressive systems and technology leader to join one of the most well-respected real estate companies in Canada.
The expected base salary range for this role is $240,000 - $280,000. Base will vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications and internal equity.
