Job description

Seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to perform Project Coordination for ICI HVAC-related Construction Projects in the GTA. As Junior Electrical Engineer / Project Coordinator, the candidate will analyze documents, drawings, specifications, addenda, and takeoff of labour and material in preparation for pricing project change orders. In addition, the candidate will assist project management in the installation and commissioning of ICI electrical projects with the goal of progressing towards becoming a Project Manager.

This position is in person , at our offices in North York . Must already be located in the GTA.

Salary package plus benefits.

Responsibilities and Requirements of the candidate :

Assist with pricing projects on which the Company is bidding, including preparation of a priced material take off, issuing equipment and subcontract RFQs, and estimating labour hours.
Develop a preliminary project construction schedule (using MS Projects or Primavera) as a basis for the pricing of time-related activities utilizing input from subcontractors and staff.
Prepare, monitor, and update construction budgets throughout the project.
Analyze documents, drawings, specifications, addenda, and takeoff of labour and material in preparation for pricing project change orders.
Assist in the preparation and submission of close-out documents for projects as required to achieve timely substantial completion and handover.

Qualifications of the candidate :

Electrical Engineering degree, preferably from a Canadian University.

Experience in coordination of ICI projects with multiple trades in the installation and commissioning of ICI (non-residential) electrical projects.

Computer skills and working knowledge of scheduling, and various software programs are critical.

Must be able to travel to work sites.
