Job descriptionMaintain focus on tenant satisfaction and energy conservation Troubleshoot all aspects of HVAC in high-rise apartment buildings including condensing modulating boilers and In suite Heat Pump Systems Perform regular preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment Provide consistent monitoring of automation systems Basic automation background Willingness and ability to learn how to monitor and fine-tune buildings through our automation systems Oversee HVAC-related mechanical projects Maintain HVAC logs as required Regularly update knowledge and skills through employer-sponsored educational programs Comply with all safety code requirements Gas license – G2 required HVAC troubleshooting skills in Water and Air Source Heat Pump Systems Basic duct working skills an asset Fabrication and installing duct transitions Measuring and cutting to specifications Understanding air flow requirements Placing accurate material orders for ductwork, fittings, and related components. Basic knowledge in HVAC automation systems is an asset Efficient time management with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in-person, over the phone and via e-mail.

With a portfolio of over 200 high rise apartment buildings across the province we are focused on deploying industry leading equipment and techniques. The successful candidate will be ambitious, independent, and ready to expand their skills through this transformative period in HVAC. Once fully licensed, you will be able to take ownership of a portfolio of buildings and provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and help guide HVAC investment strategy.

Responsibilities :
In this position, new to the Homestead’s Ottawa branch, you will work closely with our experienced HVAC team providing consistent resident satisfaction, while working towards out energy conservation goals. Within your portfolio of buildings you will problem-solve, collaborate with our HVAC and operations teams.
