Job description
Our client, a well-established civil construction firm with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure and deep excavation projects, is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to join their team in Surrey, BC. The client has a strong safety-first culture and COR certification.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain company HSE policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
Manage the company’s online safety platform and ensure all site documentation is current.
Lead safety orientations, training, and toolbox talks.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC and environmental regulations.
Maintain safety equipment inventory and documentation.
Ideal Candidate Requirements :
5+ years of HSE management experience in the construction industry.
CRSP and / or NCSO® designation required.
Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC and construction safety best practices.
Experience in unionized environments is an asset.
Proficient in safety management software.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
